Description
INTRODUCTION Specific challenging behaviours have become more prevalent within mainstream schools. This has been highlighted by the Vinson Report (2001), which investigated the increase of behavioural problems within the NSW public school system. Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) is one such disorder (Kaiser & Hester, 1997; Barcalow, 2006). These students, without the appropriate intervention and support to help them regulate their behaviours, persist with behaviours that may then escalate, resulting in delinquency and incarceration (Barcalow, 2006: Greene, Beszterczey, Katzenstein, Park & Goring, 2002; Forness, Walker & Kavale, 2003)
